Carlos is a founding principal of BKCoin Capital LP. He oversees the firm’s daily operations and legal, compliance, and research staff report to him.
Prior to founding BKCoin Capital, Carlos was the Founder and Managing Director of Yorkville Commodities, a full-service physical commodities brokerage and consulting company that offered financing services to small and medium-sized companies within energy, mining, and natural resources industries in North America and LATAM. His previous experience includes working at AMCI Group as a Commodities Manager, KCM Asset Management as an Equity Analyst, and The Newport Group as a Business Analyst.
Carlos is actively involved in helping current students from his alma mater’s prestigious Roland George Investment Program develop skills to become successful professionals. As a former Division I student-athlete, he enjoys an active lifestyle and participates in several sports leagues in NYC.
Carlos earned his B.A. in Finance and MBA with a concentration in Finance from Stetson University. He is fluent in English, Spanish, and Papiamento.
Kevin is a founding principal of BKCoin Capital LP. He shares the daily management and trading responsibilities for the fund.
Prior to founding BKCoin Capital, Kevin was the portfolio manager and trader at an NYC-based fund, managing over $4 billion in multi-asset portfolios specializing in US equities and fixed income. His experience includes being Associate Portfolio Manager at AllianceBernstein in NYC. During his tenure at AllianceBernstein, he effectively collaborated with multiple portfolio managers in managing the largest US equities’ product by AUM. Additionally, he successfully implemented investment decisions and efficiently oversaw the firm’s daily positioning of its $40 billion portfolio.
Kevin is a CFA® charterholder and earned his B.A. in Finance from Stetson University. He is fluent in English and Korean.
Justin M. Simmons is an equity trading specialist with over 14 years of experience focusing on small-cap companies and technical analysis. Justin believes blockchain technology and crypto assets offer the greatest potential for long-term wealth creation since the commercialization of the Internet. Blockchain technology has the potential to be a major disrupter within the money transfer/remittance and banking industries, as well as, the central banking and fiat currency model. Given this outlook, Justin believes early investors in the space stand to generate significant generational wealth.
Justin is currently trading both domestic and international equities at Gilder Gagnon & Howe Co. Previously, Justin worked at Evercore ISI as a sales trader and small-cap specialist and at JPMorgan on the sales and trading desk.
In his free time, Justin works with an E-commerce Business Development and Mentorship Group helping those looking to create cash flow generating assets and is an investor in a real estate FinTech startup. He is a mentor to youth in New Jersey through the Garden State Scholars Investment Club teaching financial and investment literacy. Justin is an active member of the Florida Agricultural & Mechanical University (FAMU) New Jersey Alumni Chapter and serves on the executive board helping the chapter raise money to provide scholarships to deserving students in New Jersey attending Florida A&M. Justin lives in New Jersey with his wife Chloe and two sons Justin Jr “J.J.” and Bryce.

Peter Heise was a pioneer in large equity basket trading and has over 20 years of experience in the US, EU and APAC markets. His career began on the New York Mercantile Exchange with MBF Clearing Corporation and then as a trader with Merrill Lynch before serving as the Director of Trading for over ten years at market-neutral hedge fund KCM Asset Management. He then served a 5-year tenure in a Trader/PM position at The Portland House Group, one of the largest family offices in Australia. Peter now trades his own capital.
Specializing in executing trades representing a significant portion of the daily average volume, he balanced both execution speed and market impact. He is familiar with and has used the majority of the bulge bracket execution algorithms as well as proprietary ones. Peter brings a deep understanding of equity execution along with currencies, futures, and options.
Peter earned his MBA with a concentration in Finance from Stetson University.
Vittorio is the current Portfolio Manager and Chief Investment Officer at Cedar Wealth Management in San Francisco, CA. Prior to Cedar Wealth Management, Vittorio was a Senior Vice President and Portfolio Manager at EBS Asset Management. His experience includes co-managing a $2.5 billion institutional equity portfolio at ICC Capital Management, and lead analyst at KCM Asset Management, a global equity hedge fund.
Vittorio’s education includes an MBA, with a concentration in Finance and a B.A. from Stetson University where he obtained a double major in Finance and International Business. He has been a CFA® charterholder since 2008.
In his free time, Vittorio enjoys playing tennis competitively and traveling.
Edward is a Digital Asset Analyst at BKCoin Capital and he is responsible for researching long/short digital asset investment ideas. Previously, Edward founded a macroeconomic investment blog where he researched and analyzed the impact of global, social, economic and political events on financial markets. In his free time, Edward is working on deploying his own systematic trading algorithms across financial markets.
Edward recently graduated cum laude at Loyola University Maryland and earned his Bachelor of Business Administration with a concentration in Finance.
Peter Dzuba, Esq. is a licensed attorney in Florida and New York, he currently serves as the corporate counsel to BKCoin Capital LP helping the fund navigate the complex landscape of securities regulation, particularly as it applies to the emerging cryptocurrency space.
Peter worked as an Associate at an International Law firm in Orlando, FL following his graduation from law school. In 2014, Peter started his own practice in South Florida dedicated to business and international law. He has always focused on providing competent representation to all of his clients, and in September 2018, Peter expanded his practice from Miami to New York, opening a second office in Manhattan. Peter is a valuable addition to the team and is actively involved in the success of the fund.
Peter earned his B.A. in Finance and Economics from Stetson University, graduating Summa Cum Laude. He earned his J.D. from the University of Florida Levin College of Law where he graduated Cum Laude.
